Kala Mitti between Hoj and Potin

On National Highway between Hoj (Papum Pare district) and Potin (Lower subansiri district) has a very well known to every commuters, that is place called kala mitti.

Till 2019, the condition of this point of road was worst. As during every summer and rainy season the road gets block frequently and damaged lots of vehicles. 

The name of place called Kala Mitti is taken from the black soil present there. This black soil mixed with water and run down on the road from nearby hills and get accumulated on the road as there is no proper drain system build to deal with such situations. 

Then in 2022, the road is repaired and build a culvert that allows the water to run down the nearby river.

Now the condition of road is much better. Hoping that the concerned authorities will make all the necessary work to tackle the situation near future.
