                Nechiphu Tunnel

The excavation of Nechiphu Tunnel is completed in the month of May 2002. This is also known as Project Vartak which was accomplished by BRO (Border Road Organization). 

This project Vartak took 18 months for its complete excavation from Sela to Nechiphu Tunnel, which is located on BCT road connecting Balipara to Tawang.

The D-shaped Tunnel will have the capacity to accommodate two ways traffic 🚦 and will be equipped with morden lightning system and safety facilities.
Nechiphu Tunnel will not only provide a safe weather ☁️🌡️ for passage but also reduce distance by 7km.
